Lithium-Induced Reorientation of Few-Layer MoS<sub>2</sub> Films

Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) few-layer films have gained considerable attention for their possible applications in electronics and optics also as a promising material energy conversion storage. Intercalating alkali metals, such lithium, offers the opportunity to engineer electronic properties of MoS2. However, influence lithium on growth MoS2 layers has not been fully explored. Here, we studied how affects structural optical prepared using new method based one-zone sulfurization with Li2S source lithium. This enables incorporation Li into octahedral tetrahedral sites already or during formation. Our results discover an important effect promoting epitaxial horizontal alignment films. Moreover, observed vertical-to-horizontal reorientation vertically aligned upon lithiation. The measurements show long-term stability preserved chemical composition horizontally Li-doped
